Day Trip: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Arusha
- Morning Pick-up Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Our experienced local guide will ensure you have a comfortable and informative journey to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive away.
- Arrival at Tarangire National Park Upon arrival, prepare for a day filled with extensive game drives across the park’s diverse terrains. Tarangire is renowned for having the highest density of elephants in northern Tanzania, with herds sometimes numbering up to 300 individuals. The park’s varied ecosystem supports a rich array of wildlife including buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and the elegant waterbuck antelope.
- Morning Game Drive Begin your safari with a morning game drive, exploring the savannah landscapes and the lush riverine areas. Keep your eyes peeled for predators like lions and cheetahs, as well as a variety of antelopes and gazelles. The Tarangire River, which flows year-round, attracts animals from miles around, making it a prime spot for wildlife viewing, especially during the dry season from June to October.
